I want to take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Ginger Beesbrock and I had the opportunity to put this course together related to a need that I found in the market. So I'm a consultant with MedAxium and probably about half of the work that I do is related to team-based care models and I've been programs all over the country but there's two things that seem to bubble up as a need that I've noticed during my work. One is is that PAs and nurse practitioners who are new into the industry are asking for some how do I get the information that I need? How do I learn the things that I need to learn when I've just been up either fresh out of school or never worked in cardiology before? Where do I go for those resources? And there really wasn't I mean there's certainly different textbooks and things but there really wasn't an organized structure in which they could access to to get those learnings. And then a second area that I found a need was the administrators and the physician leaders in those programs were asking how do I know if this these new folks that we've hired on are getting the competencies and the skills that they need? How do I know if they've got the content expertise that we're looking for? And so the hope is that this product is an answer to both of those questions. Now let me tell you a little bit about myself. So I am a PA. I have been a PA for a long time. I graduated back in 1998. I spent my first three years doing internal medicine back before we had a hospitalist. It was a very interesting time and then I was hospital-based and then moved into cardiology back in 2001. I worked full time in cardiology for about ten years clinically and then kind of moved myself into more of a leadership trajectory. Maintained some clinical skills and time and then but became an administrator. I was administrator for two different programs and now I've been with Medaxium for a little over five years. I also teach though so one of my most favorite things to do is to teach and I teach at a local PA program in Michigan at Western Michigan University and then I had an opportunity within my career as a full-time professor in another PA program that was that was local to me. So the goal again as I put this together the goal is to really provide you all a resource whether you're new to cardiology or whether you're looking for a refresher. These things are not really even resources that you don't typically have access to but by creating that structure and some definitions around it and giving you a timeline it just makes it much easier for us to take advantage of those things and so hopefully you'll find some really great value here and we appreciate you joining us.
