Welcome to our device clinic essentials course for the care team. This is offered through our MedAxiom Academy and we are excited to share this curriculum which was developed in collaboration with CV Remote Solutions that is a leader in the cardiac device patient care space. This course is organized by modules providing self-directed content to support team members such as nurses and technicians who are new to the management of cardiac implant electronic devices or CIDs in the device clinic setting. Cardiac device monitoring roles are highly technical and patient management workflow is complex. This course is designed to provide a baseline understanding and framework of CIDs such as pacemakers, implantable defibrillators, cardiac resynchronization therapy devices and implantable loop recorders through the application of technical knowledge and skills to evaluate device function and assist with device management in outpatient procedural and inpatient settings. At the completion of this course, we hope care team members walk away with a strong understanding of CIDs and are prepared to continue on the job training for these important cardiac device monitoring roles.
