She highlighted that some VATS procedures are bundled with pleural work and that certain procedures require unlisted codes if no exact CPT exists.<br /><br />The presentation concluded with several case studies demonstrating correct code selection for complex thoracic surgeries, including completion pneumonectomy, therapeutic wedge resection, decortication with lobectomy, VATS lobectomy with node dissection, bleb resection, and hemothorax evacuation.
