COURSE OVERVIEW
This course is designed for new cardiovascular (CV) nursing staff working in general cardiology ambulatory practices, nurses new to CV ambulatory nursing, or general nursing staff who wish to expand their CV knowledge. Jenny Kennedy leads the course and features imaging expert Jaime Warren, as a guest instructor. The course incorporates video, textbook and online learning to cover these essential CVRN topics:

COURSE GOALS
For Clinical Staff: This curriculum is designed to help new nursing staff or RNs new to ambulatory CV practice immerse themselves in clinical cardiology– to understand what they are experiencing in the clinics and provide a didactic review of the pathophysiology, symptoms, diagnosis and clinical decision making.
For Employers or Leaders: This curriculum will help jump-start and support your clinical staff on-the-job learning and quantitatively improve their level of competency.

THE METHODOLOGY
Each weekly lesson has a 20-30-minute didactic video providing the content for each week’s focus.

Different state boards of pharmacy have different requirements for continuing education. Some accept CME credit, while others accept only ACPE-approved CPE (continuing pharmacy education) credit. Please refer to your state board of pharmacy to find out if CME is accepted.
